PASTURE-RAISED FOOD FROM OUR FARM TO YOUR TABLE

Providing pasture-raised, non-GMO, soy-free chicken and eggs in Trussville, Alabama

Meet Your Farmers

We are the Morgans, the third generation to live on our family’s farm just outside Birmingham, Alabama. We are passionate about high-quality, ethical, nutrient-dense food, and believe in radical transparency in the local food movement. We want you to feel confident buying our products and comfortable knowing where your food comes from.

Pasture-Raised Eggs and Chicken

We have organically fed, pasture-raised, non-GMO, soy-free, antibiotic-free, hormone-free, and vaccine-free eggs and chicken available for purchase.

Our Mission is Simple: Produce Ethical, Nutrient-Dense Food

Pastured poultry prioritizes and promotes animal welfare, allowing chickens to express their natural behavior: scratching for bugs, eating grass, and dust bathing. Our birds are moved daily to fresh pastures, giving them access to new ground to explore and allowing the soil to rest from their impact.

By moving our flocks daily their manure is a natural fertilizer to our pastures. The consistent rotation of pastured poultry also directly affects the quality of our birds’ eggs and meat. Pasture-raised eggs have higher omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E, and beta-carotene levels than conventional eggs from the grocery store.

“Hens raised on pasture have access to a diverse range of insects, plants, and seeds, resulting in eggs with higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E, and beta-carotene.”

Radical Transparency

We believe in radical transparency within the local food movement. We want our customers to know their farmers and trust the products they are receiving.

Pasture-raised chickens, turkeys, and other poultry live the majority of their lives on fresh, rooted-in-soil pasture. This is accomplished through movable shelters (coops)—not in a barn that only provides access to pasture. Living on fresh green grass makes pasture-raised different from every other label, including free range, cage-free, organic, all-natural, and antibiotic-free.
