About the Farm
A farm focused on regenerative principles, animal welfare, soil health, and rotational grazing.
Regenerative agriculture is our passion.
We believe in regenerative agriculture, where animals can truly express their natural instincts to positively affect the environment.
By rotating our chickens daily to fresh pasture, this movement builds soil, pulls carbon back into the ground, and allows our animals to have fresh grass and bugs every single day. Farming in communion with nature is our goal and mission, where our animals thrive and, in turn, build soil, sequester carbon, and retain water on our land. Mimicking the rotational grazing that was essential to the natural movement of animals across the land.

The history of Scratch Made
We are the third generation to raise animals on our farm just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. We want to provide clean, nutrient-dense food for our family and give our community access to this food.
For our family, it all started with chickens raised on pasture through rotational grazing. We are providing ethical food while boosting soil health. The backbone of our farm is “Scratch Made” with our chicken flocks.
We are so grateful you found our farm and we look forward to meeting you soon!
Why Pasture-Raised Poultry
We believe in raising animals in the best way possible, not only for their health and well-being but also for the nutrient density of the eggs and meat they provide. Raising animals on pasture with daily movements allows us access to the highest-quality eggs and meat while giving the animals an amazing quality of life.
